This is a table-top Nativity. The manger and principal figures are assembled on a base, and the rest of the figures arranged all about.
The incredible background sweeps for almost 81 cm (32"), and depicts a muted landscape: a waterfall, a placid pond with swans and a fisherman, the elegant arches of a stone bridge.
