Four colorful panels unfold to bring the Nativity to life.
The Nativity
Adapted from an 18th-century Neapolitan Christmas créche.

Anyone who has visited the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York around the holidays has marveled at its giant Christmas tree and the creche that is diplayed among its branches.

This delighful book brings to life that Neapolitan creche. In four colorful panels, angels, shepherds, magi, Virgin and Child are depicted in wonderful watercolors by Borje Svensson and marvelous paper engineering by James Roger Diaz.

Johanna Hecht's Neapolitan creche commentary is a great addition to this lovely edition.
