Master Jakels Theater Mester Jakels Theater, 1914 Full view of figures (left) shows the extension that allows the characters to be held and moved behind the proscenium. The back view of the theater (right) shows the extensions below the backdrop. This delightful Puch-and-Judy-type of theater dates from 1914. Pierrot, a mustacioed Gendarme named Preusseren, his wife, and another Gendarme named Casper complete the cast of characters. Mester Jakels Theater comes with two plays: En Mester Jakels Komedie, and Den Uheldige Pjerrot. All that is Greek to me, of course, but I'm sure you'll be able to find a suitable play in English, not just the two originals in Danish.
